Welcome to to the SafeKids wiki!  A wiki is way for several people to

collaborate in an on-line environment.  Wikis can be edited by any user

as long as the user knows the password.  This wiki has been created for

the Internet and Digital Media Usage Committee in Andover, KS.

Committee Purpose:  To consider potential guidelines, codes of conduct and

student/parent education regarding the internet and other digital media.

I will bring them to the next meeting to share with all.

Kansas Association of School Boards is just beginning to look at this issue.  They are not aware of any other districts that are researching the topic like we are.  Their suggestion at this time is to use current policies on "harassment and disruption of school" to address any issues that come up.

We are just starting to visit with other districts on how they are treating this issue.
