I am responsible for looking for information on students so I googled social networks to see what I could find.  I have added 3 web sites to Shannons list that will give you info. on social networks from a list of different networks to information on Facebook and MySpace.

Carol read a book called "Totally Wired" by Anastasia Goodstein and gave a summary to the group of this book.  This book described what teens and tweens are really doing online.  The book gave insights on what teens do not really know and what parents need to know on how to protect their children while online.

Shawna brought the parent resources of certain websites parents can go to for online information.  Those online website are;

www.ezinearticles.com

www.onguardonline.gov/socialnetworking.html

www.associatedcontent.com

www.education-world.com

Sue stated she got information and familiarized herseld with facebook, the online source for teenagers and others.  We as a group also spoke about the simularities facebook has with myspace.
